The School of Social Work (SSW) Research Institutes’ Student Collaborative (RISC) began meeting weekly in October, 2015. RISC’s primary aim is to assess the culture of the Regional Research Institute (RRI) and Center for Improvement of Child and Family Services (CCF), the two research arms of Portland State University’s SSW, from the perspectives of student workers[1] and staff. This work is intended to increase understanding of the strengths and areas of opportunity within the culture of the RRI/CCF in order to create a climate that best addresses needs of student workers and those who work with them.

[1] Student Workers include volunteers, interns, hourly wage workers who happen to be students, work study students, GRAs, & PhD Students.
